It's sure is quiet over here

Its not my fault on the thread title. Heck on my I-phone 6 plus I can't even see the thread title as I type it.

At this time last year this side of the forum was buzzing.
 
Actually I can't wait for hoops to start up as this could be a magical time for both programs. I'm ambidextrous. I can watch two successful sports programs at the same time with the tv remote in either hand. :)
 
I'm with you BigD, wish there was more over here. To be fair, we don't have much to go off of yet. After the first scrimmage I think some of the basketball regulars will be back.

The most intriguing thing for me is which freshman will be in the rotation.
 
You can probably check out the Iowa State boards, they love talking basketball during football season. I think most basketball fans don't really know what to expect this year so it's a wait-and-see attitude like Snapback said.
 
Too much going on to put the focus on basketball. Football team rolling, Cubs still playing, weather still remotely pleasant. Let's enjoy basketball once the games get here. I want to enjoy the fall because before long its over and winters here. Hopefully winter will be just as fun and entertaining.

I don't know if he will make the rotation but I believe Moss is considered our top recruit coming in. Hopefully this time this point guard pans out much better than our all-American JC transfer did. That was very disappointing.
 
Football is dwarfing everything...and once hoops starts, it will be fun. I am really looking forward to this season, but with what football is doing, that;s the story right now
 
Football rules right now because we are winning. The alternative is what is sad. Over in Ames the basketball season started after the loss to Iowa.

So is Moss officially in school and cleared to play with no restrictions? I've been too into football and haven't heard the latest on him either way. I just remember this summer he was still working on things academic related

LMAO!!!! I think basketball season started over Ames as soon as they got bounced out of the tournament.

If the basketball season is going to be dwarfed I can think of no better reason for it to happen. The ride had been fun so far.

Does the basketball team still do scrimmages before the football games? If so has anyone been able to see how things are going? Would like to hear how Moss has been looking in practice.
 
BigD, you may be right that Moss ends up being "the guy" out of this recruiting class. Playing for Simeon is as good as it gets. If I had to make a prediction for the freshman with the most impact this year, it would be Flemming. He has also played big time high school hoops and can contribute offensively instantly. Hutton also intrigues me but I think he will be lacking on the offensive end too much and won't see much playing time come B1G.
