I feel bad for Todd. I thought it was never a good fit, but actually liked the guy. I thought the Alford era and problems had blame to be shared by he and the University both. I wish Todd and his family the best of luck because he is a good coach and a great guy. It just wasn't a good fit.

I think your "otherwise" scenario is more likely. I wouldn't expect a new coach to be announced any time this week or anything. Might be a couple weeks.. I'd still like to get actual confirmation on this, though, before I get too excited.
