So just to get this straight. We've officially become a basketball school with an exhibition win against Quincy? IMO that's similiar to becoming a football school because of a good showing in a spring game. I hope its true and I hope the basketball team has a lot going for them in the near future, but I won't be convinced until they show it night in and out against D-1 competition.

I went to a Rose Bowl and a Final Four while at Iowa, and saw multiple NCAA titles in wrestling. It's possible. But a good bowl game and an NCAA tourney berth isn't too much too ask for.

There was actually an Iowa athlete that dressed for both a Rose Bowl and a Final Four. Can you name him?

I was a student from 1973 to 1977... the dark years. Yet i supported the Hawkeyes and the University of Iowa many years before and ever after.

The rest of you have no real perspective, mostly fair weather fans and really soft... not really but you get the picture.

Point being... support and believe when no one cares and you lose repeatedly in both football and basketball... then come to me about some meaning less point about support or apathy... what is SUCCESS? What is a good season and how soon should we fire someone?
