I've seen some of his highlights before ... but dang! It's a thing of beauty watching him keep his motor running ... and watching him NEVER give up on a play. And, what's especially cool is that he's clearly a smart player too ... he takes good angles and he makes some pretty impressive reads/decisions on the field too.

You combine those brains, with his effort and his impressive measureables ... the kid has serious potential!

I don't want to heap undo pressure on the young man ... but I'm forcasting a bright future for Mr. Raymon!

As an alumnus of Council Rock HS (class of '78) I offer a hearty welcome to John Raymon. Enjoy your stay in Iowa City!!

He's my odds on favorite for "Next DE Recruit Ferentz steals from the defense and turns into a first round left tackle."

No way. I think he stays on D with that athleticism and our lack of DL depth after the next 2 years. My vote was for Mike Hardy from last year's class if anyone is going to do it.

I can see that ... however, the way he seems to react ... I really think that he'll be able to stick on D.

If he proves to not be a very good "reactive" player ... then yeah, he could definitely project to the OL too. However, my bet is that he "reacts" well ... and Norm and Co won't let him go.

Put this kid at full back. Man he could certainly pave the way for Coker, McCall, and Coe. Everybody loves Raymon! Welcome to the Iowa fam!

Definitely an impressive tape. I did like how he continued to play through until the whistle. Nice wheels for a big guy. Really liking how this recruiting class shaped up.
