Iowa's o line lost 5v9 iowa's front 7 on d lost 7v5 and the D as a whole had double digit missed tackles. If anything this season actually supports KF Philosophy, in a year that feels very 2005ish. A real QB and another WR don't help this offense if they don't have 3-4 seconds for a passing play to develop, and a running QB in this league is nice and all but how many times have the running qb's in this league made it through the season?

stanzi made plays with his feet, Drew made plays with his feet, because they had time to. Bethard made plays with his feet and shouldn't have been playing half of a season because it got him injured.

Iowa is still Iowa, We will always have to win with D because we don't have a recruiting base and look at USC if you want to see what a team trying to keep it's WR room all happy looks like.

Yep that is what what I’ve been saying and fussing about for a while now. I Whole heartedly agree.
This article introduces a narrative that is long over due. Kirk's decade long neglect of the offense leaves them with a reputation that makes recruiting QBs and WRs difficult. We hope Lester can turn it around...I know it has begun.

Equally concerning however is the way the OLine and the DLine was manhandled.
