its not about the talent, its about attitude

Since God clearly hates Iowa's football team, I would not expect divine intervention to help win any basketball games.

Exactly. You can ' t argue the fact that, if he would have just recruited taller guys, he would have had monumental success here. Look at Syracuse, they have 6 guys that are at least 6'8" and even have a guy that's 7'0"! It ' s no wonder they ' re so good.

you cant win based on talents alone, trust me...

I think I would take David and his sling to shoot a higher % from 3 than we do. Attitude, hustle, heart, etc., matter if you are in the same neighborhood from a talent perspective, we are not in the same zip code as OSU, MSU and others.

This reminds me of a quote from a forgotten football coach who once said, paraphrasing him, If all that it took to win games was better discipline, Army and Navy would win the NC every year. Talent is king.

Just saw this thread. We don't have enough shooters, and we don't have a legit post presence. Please don't tell me that talent has nothing to do with our issues.

Let's put together a Hawkeye Nation team, I'm going to guess that a good chunk of us still have eligibility left (I'll have to come up with another major but I'll figure something out.) As long as we try hard and BELIEVE that we'll win, I don't see why we wouldn't be number one.

Sorry, my eligibility is long burned. You will have to find another Brommer clone to take my spot.;)
