Here they are:
Bob Stoops: 166-42-0
Kirk Ferentz: 113-81-0

Since orange bowl win by Iowa:

Bob Stoops: 49-13
Kirk Ferentz: 32-25

I put this caveat out there for everyone: a change in scenery may also mean a change in success level. Take a look at Earl Bruce. He parlayed back-to-back winning years at Iowa State into a job at Ohio State where he really kicked hind. After one losing season, he was gone. He never did a whole lot again, losing in one season at UNI and one winning season out of four at Colorado State.

Oklahoma won 75 of the first 77 games played in Norman under Stoops, but OU has gone just 14-5 since.

JUST 14-5??? That would get KF another 10 year deal.

Only SEVEN home losses since 1999....think about that folks...that is what we could have had. Thanks committee!!!

This is Iowa, where we do things "The right way".....as if anyone notices nationally. Pffffttt.......
 
We have seen an entire Kirk Ferentz recruiting class come up and leave the program without ever playing on a ranked team.
 
The sad part of this is for most of my adult life Iowa has been top 25 or close to it. The last few years and the near future top 25 seems like a very long ways away.

Add to that Stoops also won a national championship.

IMO since the Orange Bowl win, Ferentz has been coasting on auto pilot. That is not going to change until Barta has an Alford-style "or else" discussion with him.
