Since we came into the season knowing we had the best QB in the Big Ten. That alone is a big positive for the year. I say "knowing" because Banks was the best QB in 02 but we didn't expect that good of a year from him.

How can you say we KNOW we have the best QB? I usually have an overly optimistic viewpoint regarding the Hawks, but I would not have this definitive opinion.

After 2004 I thought Drew Tate would be spectacular his last two years,but unfortunately injuries limited his effectiveness in many games.
Of our QB's in the KF era...

Chandler
Tate
Jake
Ricky
...Ricky has the most winning experience going into his senior year.
It is a great situation,as we have a solid succession plan in place for the next two years after Ricky with Vandy and Wienke ready to step in.
Altho the McCann,Banks,Chandler,Tate 4 year run of new starters evey year worked out ok, it was never very stable going into each season. Ricky is stability,as KF pointed out last nite. ''Everyone on this team and on the coaching staff have total confidence with Ricky at the helm''....I agree,KF.
