its a new season

Just got done listening to jons podcast, and I have to say im a believer. Yes this has been a very frustrating year, but this Saturday iowa has a chance to start all over. Throw out everything that hasnt worked this year, learn from mistakes, and play inspired. It truly is a new season.

The most electric atmospheres iv seen at kinnick since iv been attending games, which was 2002 are as follows

1. 2006 vs #1 ohio state
2. 2010 vs Wisconsin
3. 2008 vs #3 penn st
4. 2002 vs purdue
The 2004 game against Wisconsin would be my #2 if I wouldv gone to that game.

I think Saturday has the potential to be the best atmosphere kinnick has seen since that 2006 ohio state game. Many of you may think differently, but the start of that ohio state game was insane.

Um, gonna disagree. In 2006 we were ranked in the top 20. OSU was 1. Gameday was there. The weather was great because it was the second week of Big Ten play. Iowa managed to avoid its near annual rite of passage in terms of a bad non-con loss. No one was worried about Adam Shada in coverage yet. Optimism ran through the air.

If my memory serves me correctly, the dorms will also close this weekend and I doubt the kids will have much reason to stay. I predict that the student section will be at best 1/2 full.

2020 can't come soon enough. With a little luck, it might come early though!
