Get ready for more cancelled bowl games, short handed teams in NFL postseason games, the NBA and NHL thrown into an uproar, NCAA basketball in chaos, and God knows what else.

Many of us in the general populace have contracted or have been exposed to this new variant and will never know it. But many of us don't get tested daily. High profile athletes aren't so lucky.

Maybe an ultra contagious but mild variant will end up being just what the doctor ordered and we will achieve herd immunity once and for all. Then it will be interesting to see how certain people spin it. Now that they've got a good chunk of the populace afraid to go back to live as we once knew it those who can will be in no hurry to convince them that the crisis is over.

And UCLA pulls out of the holiday bowl hours before kickoff. Can you imagine being an NC State fan who paid thousands of dollars to fly across the country to go to the game. Wow that would suck!!!

Two antibodies have been approved by the FDA that can nip this in the bud for an infected person at the first signs of symptoms, yet the news would rather report overwhelmed hospitals from those afraid they are going to die from a cold and people spending entire days waiting in line for tests.

It would suck, no doubt, but it’s pure stupidity to fly or book hotels to any event right now. Pure stupidity.

If anyone loses money on a bowl trip it’s on them. This shit was happening in other sports like hockey and basketball long before bowl selections were made, people should know better.

Definitely a risk. My family is supposed to leave Sunday for our annual ski trip to Denver. I’m crossing my fingers hoping our flight does not get canceled.
