If you read the article it clearly says that campus police have no record either.Maybe he contacted NYPD? Or Miami Metro? Or the Iowa State Patrol?

I was thinking along that line also,what happened if it was reported that night. And the next day somebody at PSU said we will take care of this

He probably walked in to the police station, thought he reported it by simply being there, then turned tail and ran.

I think he met with the AD and the VP who is in charge of the campus police. My guess is he's referring to that meeting and, by doing so, stretching the truth. He's certainly still a chickensh!t.
