Lots of lucky wins. Very little respect. I would venture to say their fan base probably thinks a lot more highly of the team than anyone else does. I think the similarities are there. Neither team particularly dominated their opponents, but each team won when it counted.

I don't think so. I would compare LSU in terms of a national perception. Everyone thought Iowa was really "lucky" all last year, and now they are saying the same things about LSU. I'm not sure anyone would say MSU has been particularly lucky this season.

Funny you should say this. I've already said this to my friends that are LSU fans. We have joked that a win is a win no matter how "lucky"'it is.

Our "luck" was all performance based. Their luck, in regards to last week, was a technicality. So yeah they've been lucky, but not in the same way Iowa was last year.

The michigan st iowa comparison was based on the fact that nobody thought iowa would be as good as they were last year, and im not sure many people saw michigan state being this good right now.
