Is there another fan base in the country that....

Even if their defense improves, and having one of the hot young coaches will bring in the stars, the rest of the division is not standing pat and doing nothing about it. Nearly every team short of Illinois is making strides in some way. No one is simply going to roll over and let Nebby have a clear path to Indy.
 
What they fail to remember was the glory days of the 90s came when Osborne let his players do absolutely anything. Not just Phillips but Scott Baldwin and Christian Peter who was arrested 8 times and likely a serial rapist. Osborne is garbage and traded his morals for rings. Frost can’t so that because he never had any to begin with.

There were still Nebtards saying "Iowa is beneath us" after three straight ass beatings. I don't think it will stop until the ones who remember the 90's are all dead.

It never stops. I've heard "we barely lost to xyz" dozens of times. Yeah, cool story nebby, while that likely gets you a bowl game.....if you wanna use that logic....Iowa was closer to 12-0 than you were to 6 wins...

Iowa had no great wins, I concede that. But nebbys were mn, Illinois, bethune f'n cookman, and an inept msu team in a blizzard...by 3....at home.

What I find funny is that Clown fans get derrided as much as Nebby fans. Clowns are Iowans. Iowans are just as capable of delusion as Nebs. I lived in Nebby for a time. To be frank I rather enjoyed it. Iowans living in Missouri talked smack a lot about Iowa superiority.

Its still in fun I guess but as a group we obsess a lot about Nebby. Comes off as insecurity. To be frank they have seasons to be positive. We've seen pesk Ferentz. They haven't seen peak Frost.

Absolutely true about the present to them not happening. Its all about the past and how they are just going to innaliate you and everybody starting next year. They are another breed and we get to be rivals with them. GREAT!

Every fan base is insufferable to others, but they are the pinnacle.

I'm sure Hawks that live in Des Moines have a higher disdain for ISU (which likely will increase), Hawk fans that live in MN, WISC, OH....etc.

F nebby fans. That's not insecurity, they've earned it.

Didn't say they weren't obnoxious, but overall I really like it. It was about 30 minutes from Omaha. It was back during Nebraska's high tide. Sounds like they are actually becoming a rival which is good.
 
My favorite thread over there currently is titled; "One thing for sure, Iowa fans..."

know that we are going to own them from here on out. LOL

That is so typical of that blind fan base. NVM the streak of ass whippings Iowa has laid on them. Just dream of the magical fairy dust that old Frosty is going to sprinkle on the team and make them football gods again.

I absolutely can not stand them saying "because we are a top 10 program historically" well so is Minnesota dip shit.
Again I have no couth, I would just as soon ko a MF when they talk that crap then listen to it.
I absolutely love talking about football in an intelligent manner. Football just makes sense to me, unfortunately talking intelligent football and Nebraska are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
 
I remember back when Nebby joined the conference I was at a friend's birthday party and I wore a Hawkeye shirt. There was a Nebby fan there. He wouldn't even discuss the game. Completely dismissive of Iowa ever competing with Nebraska. I was respectful of Nebby history, tried not to offend this guy, but even then he was living in the past. That guy completely turned me off to Nebby fans. So they can cling to the past and suck it. I hope they continue to remain insignificant to the college landscape. They have big dreams though, it wouldn't hurt to have a coach at Iowa with a vision.

My ex and her family were from there, believe me I have heard it all and seen it all.

And I always wore my gear. :)
