Is there a more boring brand than Iowa Football?

As per usual in the Ferentz ERA... the defense plays good enough to win. The offense is somewhere out of 1972.

We have a lot of injuries on offense.. but we have seen this so many many times before.

I don't mind playing big ten power football, in fact I rather like it because defense is a part of the game but my god I just wasted my entire day driving to IC and back to only to see probably one of the worst offensive games I have ever seen in my 45 years.

Hats off to the defense though, they did fairly well for having played 90% of the game

You could really see how tired the defense was towards the end of the game.

Even when we win it feels like a loss because it feels like we luck into a win, or the other team makes more boneheaded plays than us.

I hate this style of football. And we're stuck with it for another decade

The million (s) dollar man, KF is now 4-5 in his last 9 games, including a loss to a JV program. I can't see how this game would surprise anyone. It is Classic Kirk. Under-perform, rationalize, make excuses, cash bigger paychecks for the family.

To answer your question...it is boring, but predictable...cup is half full if one understands KF ball.

The game today was embarrassing...Iowa has now become a road bump again for the quality programs of the conference...that's football, bad, boring, predictable football....KF style.

Iowa didn't come to play. Iowa is low on talent. Iowa lacks coaching leadership and creativity...again...

And announcers for a while have sounded bored doing are games. When I listen to other broadcasts of Big10 schools, it's never "this is big10 football" in regards to the boring, low scoring "slugfests"

Its always the Iowa games that this line of talk comes out. Perfect weather, and if WI could have finished drives (and our defense gets credit there too) they put us away much sooner.

It's our brand of football that sets the game back 40 years. I don't know what the @#%% happened to KF after 2005, but he went completely into a shell with the offense. I felt like 2000-2005 we tried to score points to put pressure on the other team

and since then, it's been the other way around. Defense wins games. Offense play vanilla until 4th Q

Two weeks ago I watched Pella v Norwalk, two high schools teams, and that was more exciting than watching the Hawks. Completely pathetic.

If so, who? Outside of back to back sacks by Johnson, Iowa has shown nothing to get me interested in watching.

Well, um...yes. And ironically, they both reside within the same borders.
