Is Pittsburgh on Saturday a MUST-WIN Game?

I don't see it as a need to win game from the standpoint of how our season will turn out based on a win or a loss. As long as we are able to tune up the obvious things we lacked and are heading in the right direction come conference time then at that point I don't see anything being a must win game at that point. That said, winning is always imporant and I'll take them anyway I can get them, but I think it definitely weighs itself on the program who want to get back on the right track.

I just don't see it being a must win game, for a team in a rebuilding year the third game of the year. However, if your typically and over rated team that recently has a history of not living up to expectations and you just suffered a jaw dropping last second to Michigan Saturday night to start 0-2 then I would say your getting pretty close to a must win situation.

No. I don't think there's going to be any must win games this season. We'll get our 6 wins and a berth in the big one, the Motor City Bowl.

There was a big possibility of going 3-1 in non con games. Im sure everyone thought that was a possibility and we are still on track for that total if we win this weekend, which we will.

3-1 was a big possibility, but having that 1st loss come the way it did makes 2-2 seem more likely then 3-1. The fact ISU was trying to give the game away by having multiple turnovers and missed FGs means we aren't were we thought we'd be, especially on Defense. If we are fortunate enough to get passed Pitt it might not be a good thing, if we lose by a FG it probably wont be a good thing. It will likely give Kirk the hope that we could still play ultra-conservative this year. We lose by 14+ I believe things will get switched up in the bye-week and come out firing.
