Is Pittsburgh on Saturday a MUST-WIN Game?

MUST win to what??? keep our chances of playing in a BCS bowl game alive???

I want to win the next game as bad as anybody else but what is must win about it?
 
Yes. Even before the season started I would take an ISU loss over a Pitt loss (that 08 game still hurts) but we can't start conference play with 2 losses. Let's not act like Iowa goes undefeated in non-conf play on a regular basis either.
 
Yes it is a must win unless you expect them to only win 4 or 5 games this year. A win saturday could go a long ways for this team.
 
yes, definitely. if we lose it we are going to be favored in 4 games the rest of the year. We wouldn't be favored against PSU, or NW. We wont be favored against Michigan or MSU or Nebraska.. It could turn into a very ugly season. Only if Kirk goes 2004 in the bye week and lets the offense start winning games do I see us getting to 6 should we lose Saturday.
 
No. Must win situations will take place during the B1G schedule. We can lose our next 2 games and still have a shot at a BCS game (highly unlikely, but it's at aleast a shot).

I just hope to see improvement in the next 2 weeks, that's my biggest concern.
 
If your goal is to get to 6 wins and a bowl game in a rebuilding season, these next 2 games are must wins.

I don't see this team winning more than 3 or 4 Big Ten games....
 
I think a win this week would really help in terms of confidence for the young players and first time players. They need to fix some things and get back on track witha win. Then they can demolish Louisana Monroe heading into the bye week and feel pretty good about the team.
 
It is if you want to go to a mediocre bowl game. Lose it and there could be no bowling this year...unless this team starts acting like it's not last season.
 
I dont know about a must win game. I would think of it more as a statement game. I would be happy to see some hard hits, some inspired ball playing, if that happens, I really dont care what the score is, I think all of that will take care of its self.
 
Dont think its a must win. It will definitely go a long way if they do win. Add what I would think would be a win against ULM and 3-1 heading to happy valley wouldn't be bad.
 
I'd hate to see the morale on the team if we don't win. You have to have complete confidence going into the Big 10 schedule. If you don't, they'll all be must wins just to get to a bowl game. I'd like to see them win by 10+ this week and then ROLL OVER ULM.
 
There was a big possibility of going 3-1 in non con games. Im sure everyone thought that was a possibility and we are still on track for that total if we win this weekend, which we will.
