Is Nebraska physical enough for the Big Ten?

Watching Nebby last night, it struck me that they were not physical enough to handle Wisconsin. It looked like men against boys. Nebraska has never played in a physical league like the Big Ten. Every week you get beat up.

Iowa last year, although losing to Wisky, matched them physically. We are a strong team who knows how to hit and get after it. I think we match up with Nebby pretty well. I think Nebraska will be surprised at the physical nature of this league. It will take some time to adjust.

No I hope they keep playing paddy cake, b/c if they do they'll be 4-4 or 5-3 in BIG play. Which would be awesome!!!!

With 3 NFL draft picks last year, Wisconsin pushed us around too. I think Nebraska will be fine defensively the rest of the way but they will struggle to score if they can't develop a passing threat.

Did I say I liked their defense? I said their defense is more physical than our defense this year. We gave up 44 points to Iowa State and should have given up 14 more in regulation to them.

The issue is that they are coming from a conference where they are not used to sustained physical play.

They are physical enough, just not seasoned enough.

Dumba$$ if Iowa would have given up those 14 in regulation then they wouldn't have given up 44 total as the OT's would have never happened when ISU scored 20 of those 44.

Ummm yea, in 3 OT's. At the end of 4 quarters, the score was tied at 24. Iowa State scored 30 points on Nebraska last season so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

They didn't lose because they're not physical enough. They lost because Wisconsin is better and faster than them everywhere it counts.

If they face teams that are disciplined defensively, I don't know how they rely on the option and win consistently. If your DBs can cover effectively, chances are you don't have to worry about them getting beat on precision passes while the rest of your D plays the run. Their defense didn't look terrible, RW made some plays happen that would be hard for other teams to match.

Just one game for Nebraska no need to react either way UW just out played them on that given Saturday.
