Is Mc Call ready yet?

Best D we have this weekend is to keep our O out there and theirs on the sidelines. Coker might need to catch his breath here and there. We need another back who can keep the punishment going, so by the 4th they want no part of us anymore.

I thought he was based on Kirk's press conference comments. He has also said countless times that he needs to get another RB in the game to give Coker a breather, yet has failed to do it for some reason. It would have been nice to have seen the Hawks with the ball in the 4th quarter last week.
Also, at one point in the game last week Coker asked for a breather and the bench motioned to him to stay in the game. It appears they have no desire to give any other RBs meaningful snaps, unless it is in mop up duty.
I just don't understand how Kirk says he needs to get other guys in the game but then fails to do so on Saturdays?

Well lets get all crazy and put some of the others in early. That would freak their D out. Go with some speed, then let McCall hammer it a few times, then some Coker. Then you can see whats working, before the score makes you do something out of necessity.
Play wild, let it all hang out.

Thanks for the link, I will check it out.

Cool, read it. Great news, we are going to need some weapons from here on out. A rested Coker and a rested McCall could be dangerous for the entire game. Coker has shown he can go and go, but when they are both 100%, and IF the OL can open up some holes, they will have no choice but to stack the box. Some qwick routes and we should be able to knock off Meatchicken.

That's what she said.

That right there is my new sig!

I honestly feel that the coaching staff will let it all hang out this weekend. They get conservative on the road, and sometimes open it up at home.

Iowa 37
Michigan 31

GO HAWKS!

They should redshirt McCall. Both Johnson and Canzeri have looked good when given a shot.

We need all hands on deck now. We have a good qb(needs to pick up the blitz, heck, look to the sidelines if need be).
We have a good OL, we have good receivers, we got Brad back at FB, now we have some depth at RB. Lets play keep away and pound some frigging D's into the ground, rotating backs as need be to keep them fresh all the time.

We have to play everyone who can help us at this point. Right now were not bowl eligible and probably need 7 wins to ensure a bowl berth. Post season practice and play is important to a young team's growth. I imagine McCall was supposed to play last week if we had the game in hand.

We have hardly seen McCall and hardly against a good team! He did look good in the little he has played but everyone is setting themselves up for disappointment by putting this true freshman as the savior to this team. Remember Cokers game last week..... It isn't necessarily our Offense lacking production, they stumble at times but its our defense that needs to step the f!@# up. Maybe put McCall in at DT or DE that would help us more....

To answer your question, yes!

Ferentz said on his call in show last night McCall was medically cleared to play against MINNESOTA! But, he obviously didn't play against the Gophers.

Ferentz also said he will play this Saturday. We'll see.

No way the Hawks don't make a bowl with six wins.

The Big 10 has 8 bowl tie ins (Rose, Cap One, Outback, Gator, Insight, Meineke Car Care, TicketCity, and Little Caesar's). Minnesota and Indiana will not be bowling this year, and a 6-6 Iowa team makes it over a 6-6 Northwestern team for sure, and probably over a 6-6 Purdue squad as well. At worst with six wins the Hawks will go to Detroit (ugh). Pretty critical that we get to 7-5 if we want to go somewhere warm for the Holidays!

im excited to see if he does as well as he was doing when he went out before. will be interesting to see, cant wait
