The offense played better today...but we may want to consider punting on 3rd down occasionally (SARCASM)...that's how big a weapon our punter is. He's been phenomenal.

He and Jones have really upgraded what was a good special teams group. They have to be accounted for by opposing coaches.

In the second half on one of Iowa's punts there was no pressure from MSU. He had the awareness to wait and extra second to allow for coverage downfield. Amazing awareness and talent.

Uncanny ability to drop the ball on the 5-10 yard line and it stops on a dime.

Between he and Duncan, we have to have the best pair of kickers in the country. I think Shudak would kick for a lot of schools.

As for the best player, I'll take Nixon in a close one over Jackson.

He's certainly been the most consistent. Kid is good.

Tyler Goodson, Daviyon Nixon and Charlie Jones are the other consistent performers so far this year.

Jackson is good, but he needs to go back to eating red meat.
