Is sewing OSU to expose a big cover up but yet they turn a blind eye to the SEC’s constant and blatant cheating, and if that isn’t enough they actively attempt to help Texas find a way around NCAA rules. Personally if I’m the Big Ten commissioner why on earth would I won’t to continue to do business with these scum balls? To me it isn’t worth the extra money to continue doing business with them.

Doesn't the fact that ESPN has invested heavily in a venture associated solely with one school call into question their ability to be objective in their coverage of that school?
ESPN/ABC has the largest sports platform in the US. It's concerning to me that they would have a financial incentive to promote Texas.
It's also concerning that ESPN also has incentive to undercut the appeal of the B1G anytime it can, since the BTN is now a competitor that is 50% owned by Fox, ESPN's biggest rival. Undercutting the B1G appeal also strengthens their negotiating leverage for the next contract re-up or at the very least attempts to decrease the B1G's value should they go with Fox next time for primary television rights.

Everyone can see why ESPN has an active interest in getting the most content it can on the Longhorn network. Covering up for the SEC in lieu of OSU on the other hand does not make sense. ESPN/ABC own the Big Ten first tier rights.They have an active interest in that programs health. CBS owns the SEC rights, so I would expect the opposite of you are going to conotate foul play on the OSU scandal. I think they threatened OSU because they wanted the scoop. The information was coming out, one way or another.

yes the *suit* is outlandish and is definitely a reach. They simply have to have a court order to obtain information that is declared public record. You do not need to sue, just another example of how the media and its conglomerates can effect public opinion.
Off the record, it doesn't hurt the big ten as a whole, even if they are only attacking one school - they wouldn't hesitate for a second to publish more rubbish on any B1G school.

Just a few short months ago people on this board was calling out ESPN for not "breaking" the news about the fOSU cheating scandal. I believe ESPN waited weeks before they ran a story about it and some were ******.

ESPN is the horse driving the SECNetwork's cart...they put Big10 games on because of the ratings it brings, but make no mistake, they have an interest in downplaying the conference every chance they get...they're the bitter girlfriend who know's you're going to leave her soon so she starts spreading rumors before it happens.
I’m not saying that OSU is innocent I’m just saying that ESPN is going after them like nothing I have ever seen. I don’t know all the details of what OSU did, but from what I have seen if guilty they haven’t done a fraction of what over half the schools in the SEC do every day and you don’t see ESPN’s outrage over that in fact all you ever see is praise for the greatest conference on the planet. Now you have ESPN actively attempting to help Texas break the rules so it begs the question, at what point is it in the Big Ten’s best interests to break off ties or at least force the issue and call ESPN out on their behavior.
