Bird killed the best players of his day, which includes the likes of Scottie Pippen, Denis Rodman, Micheal Jordan, Michael Cooper, Dominique Wilkins ect.

Denis Rodman was a better defender than anyone currently playing other than maybe Kevin Garnet.

There was a point in time not very long ago where Steve Nash was dominating the NBA and Steve Nash is a half sized poor mans Larry Bird.

I like Aaron White as much as the next guy, but common - let's get real. Maybe a similar TYPE of player as Larry Bird, but the NEXT Larry Bird? Let's not start heaping those kinds of expectations on the kid just yet.
 
Hell yeah he is going to be the next Larry Bird! Gesell is going to be the next Steve Nash and Woodbury is going to be the next George Mikan.

When he came out of college they said " he's from a mid-major that didn't have the competition". When he was in his first year in the NBA, he thought, "these guys aren't that good". When he played the Lakers he thought "I can win some Championships". As much as I love the talent of White, he's not Bird.

White is better than most. He will be a force for three more years and will play at the next level and be very good. He is gifted and a winner. Glad we have him.

No. Larry Legend would be Frosh of the Year, and Aaron is behind Trey Burke and Zeller. Let the kid breath,willya?
 
people will compare todays player to past players and even current players, i remember people were calling Roy Marble the next Jordan, he didn't come close but it was fun to think about, and it got peoples attention, when the media talking heads said that.
we have 3+ years to watch White mature and get better, so sit back and enjoy the ride
