Iowa's offense has changed since Fran has gotten to Iowa and I don't know why.
Jarryd Cole had a good first season in the offense and so did Melsahn Basabe.
Iowa used to feed the post first and play inside-out. That is not what I am seeing this year in particular.
Iowa has Adam Woodbury, the best offensive post player that Fran has had, it makes no sense to not get him to the block and clear out. When he does get doubled he passes well out of it. When he got it today, once he made a move right away, next time he hit White and it turned into a dunk, next he waited for traffic to clear and hit a right hand hook over McGary and the last time he hit a shot that surprised me the turn around fade away.
It isn't Fran I am questioning here, just the guys that miss him when he is posted up. Adam isn't flashy, but I would to the offense work through him. A lot of teams cannot match-up to him man to man. Also, I am not saying he is All-American, but he is good enough offensively to impact how teams guard Iowa and Marble in particular.
