Iowa's next 6 games

I know we're all sky is falling mode here, but I've watched enough Fran ball to know that his teams typically have huge momentum swings throughout years. They'll get boat raced in a game but then come back and beat a good team at home the next game.

The next 6 games, Iowa needs to go 5-1 or 4-2. Anything less than that, I'm not sure Iowa even makes the B1G tournament let alone the NCAA

Nebraska is winnable
Indiana is winnable
USC is winnable
UCLA - probably not
Minne at home is winnable
PSU at home is winnable

We might be looking at things a lot differently in a couple of weeks, one way or the other. If Iowa can stack some wins here, I will feel pretty good, if they don't go 4-2 I'll probably start checking out (though I plan to go to Lincoln for the last game of the season)

Aaron White won his last 6 games of the regular season hos senior year after looking like shot most of the year before that. I won't lose hope on the season until I know even winning out won't get us in.

For sure, and every time you thought they were out last year, they kind of played themselves back onto the bubble until the very end. I just meant, there's a real good shot at Iowa going 5-1 and being 6-3 in a couple of weeks and they really could use that. The back half of their scheduling is not nearly as manageable, and it'd be nice to get some hay in the barn now vs. needing to win out.

And then of course we lose possibly our best player (or 2nd) right before a must win game

We prolly differ on "winnable". You tend toward optimism, I tend toward it meaning 50/50. By face value definition, that means 3-3.
Unfortunately, with this current team, where not a single player can defend their shadow, the Sandforts fumble / bumble around or quick shoot bricks, rebounding is atrocious (you've claimed otherwise but I saw this from the exhibition game) and they're now going thru the classic multi-minute scoring droughts (which hadn't been happening until conf play) ...
I'll take the under.

Oh... and add Thelwell injury, that KINGSBURY has been getting meaningful minutes in recent games (even when Thekwell healthy) and what seems to be a coach with a foot in Indy ...
Yeah, stab it wth a fork!

OH MY LORD, Peyton!
He is taking "slumps" to all new lows.
How is it that every Iowa "shooter" under Fran has literally gotten worse (if not outright sucked).

I didn't say scorers, nor bigs, but Iowa "shooters" really do injustice to the cliche.

Gotta give credit to the Sandfort boys' grit the last cple minutes. Still some wacky quick shots but enough dropping to make it intersting.

I do fear the wad has been shot, tho.

Big Sandfort going bonkers!
Good for him! Hope he can keep the stroke alive every game ... I don't mean like this half, just NOT like he's been most of conf play.
Gotta have 15 + and reliable (38+%) shooting from 3 every game for this team to be competitive.
