Iowa women and Big Ten honors

Jamie Printy was named Freshman of the Year by the Big Ten coaches and media. Kachine Alexander was named first-team by the coaches and second-team by the media. Lisa Bluder was named Coach of the Year by the media. Former Hawkeye player Lisa Stone, now coach at Wisconsin, was CoY by the coaches. Kamille Wahlin was third team by both media and coaches. Kachine was second team by media, as was Jamie. Jamie was third team by coaches. Think that's about it.

They are also listed as an 11 seed in the tournament on the ESPN bracketology update. If they get into the tournament I sure hope Lisa gets some votes on the National level. Unbelievable job by her and her staff and ofcourse the team. Great job this year ladies!!

That's definitely a head-scratcher. Although I remember thinking UW didn't have much talent last year, and was surprised to see them getting wins this year.

Lavender for POY? Lot of talent there for sure, but not always the effort from what I've seen (and OSU was on BTN seemingly every other day).
