Ohhhh we should have won this game!:(

I don't care what some you say....Adam Robinson was a good Hawk! Wish he still played!

God, the games that Iowa lost last year were like watching reruns. "They got the lead with a few minutes left in the fourth quarter. Here comes another loss." Why? Just, why?

"couldn't" or wouldn't? it was proven in the bowl game one 4th and 1 near midfield when Iowa punted that it was Kirk's call. The look of disgust on O'Keefe's face said a lot. It showed that he is pretty much a puppet. Hopefully this years team will have that killer instinct and there won't be the tough decisions.
And no I'm not a KF hater. It's just that series showed a lot.

Yeah, I forgot, Robinson smoked pot and got caught because of his concussion against MSU.

Not what I meant. I think Kirk was coaching to prove a point that day, and I think that it backfired on him. I think he heard all the talk about how he had blown it the week previous and coached that game (the MSU game) with a chip on his shoulder. Remember how aggressive Iowa was in that game? MSU was lining up to punt with 4 seconds left in the half - Iowa was up 30-0 at this point - and Kirk called timeout, which is something you almost never see him do. Most coaches wouldn't do that, not with a 30-0 lead and 4 seconds to play in the half.

Iowa came out and sat on the lead in the 2nd half, but for whatever reason Kirk left the starters in, resulting to said injuries to Robinson and a couple of key guys on the offensive line. Even when Robinson came back, he wasn't the same. Fast forward to the Ohio State game, where Robinson got suspended for academic issues. Perhaps the concussion he suffered one month earlier had something to do with that? To make matters worse, he got blown up at the tail end of the Ohio State game, aggravating said concussion and leaving him off any potential roster for the bowl game.

Now obviously, Adam is responsible for his own actions and really ****ed up when he lit up that doob around Christmas when he was already on suspension. What I'm saying is that his initial concussion against MSU was suffered needlessly, and that maybe - just maybe - you can link the academic problems that got him suspended for the OSU game to that needlessly suffered concussion.

Man, I will never forget that day. I was in Vegas at a convention for work and got to a TV just in time to us take the lead before that f'n fake punt. The worst part was not being around any fellow Hawk fans and hearing the laughs and cheap shots from the other spectators. I nearly killed someone....and yes, I realize I have an anger problem.

Even though the Hawks lost, that game last year was still one of the best I've ever watched. Obviously sucks losing, but what a hell of a game.
