True. And we barely lost to a team that had home field advantage. Take away the 3 point home field advantage and Iowa wins.
As for those who say we don't want a BTC by default, I say take it. What if a team who beat Iowa with all paid players (a pro team) won the championship but later was stripped of the title? Would you feel differently? Cheating is cheating. Those who cheat do not deserve the level of success they achieve this way.
No matter how you cut it, cheating is an unfair, unsportsmanlike advantage in competition and should not go rewarded to the cheaters and unrewarded to those who play by the rules.
