Klug was a 2* LB recruit who moved to DT
got the year classes mixed up Claybourne and Klug were 2006 recruits and keep forgetting the play or RS that same year, and Ballard was a 2007 recruit, but nobody knew how they would finish right now these kids are just getting started and the biggest thing they have in common Ballard and Claybourne were 4* recruits.
Cooper who is playing as a backup is RSFR 4* DT
joining him will be a pair of 4*'s in RSFR Johnson and Ekakitie,Klugs replacement appears to be 3* LTP
not a bad start to the DL
3* RSSR starting his 3rd year Alvis at DE
3* RSSO starting his 2nd year LTP DT
4* RSSO playing his 2nd season Cooper at DT
3* RSSO playing his 2nd season Spears at DE
with possible backups 4* RSFR Ekakitie SDE, 4* RSFR Johnson DT, 3* RSSO McMinn WDE, true SO Ott SDE
then you have RSJR Davis as a 9th man on the DL

Whether he takes snaps or not in '07, didn't the whole team grow and get a lot better as the season progressed? So saying we missed out on a great season because of it is kind of looking in hindsight with rosy colored glasses (IMO).

Another point... Since Sokol has JUCO experience should account for something next year. He isn't going out there having never played a collegiate snap.

Herby said we were fine in 08 with a QB with no experience. That was my response to him. My point wasn't that we should have gotten Stanzi snaps in 07, it was simply that having a QB with no experience was the reason we started so slow.

We actually have a couple of QBs on the bench better than JVB... Capt. is using his noggin keeping them healthy for next year. He knows that with our offensive line the QB is a sitting duck. He doesn't mind watching JVB take the abuse since he won't be back.
