Iowa WILL be in Rose Bowl

I HAVE to believe that Common Sense will prevail. The CFP committee will consider that MSU's D took it hard to both Iowa and tOSU, but will also consider:

1. tOSU was held to 132 yards, at HOME, and MSU was WITHOUT Connor Cook.
2. Iowa was held to 268 yards, on a neutral field, and MSU had Cook.
3. Iowa won their conference division, tOSU did not, and Iowa had to play one more game than tOSU, and won't be punished for losing this extra game, ESPECIALLY when it literally could have went either way up until the final seconds.
4. B1G/Delaney have flexed their muscle, B1G Network analysts IMMEDIATELY started lobbying for Iowa in Rose, MSU fans are voicing loud and clear that Iowa deserves the Rose, most tOSU fans are saying they HOPE they get the Rose, Fiesta SO wants tOSU/ND, Rose will want Iowa/Stanford after seeing last night's game.
5. Especially after last year, the CFP knows they won't get questioned much at all for putting Iowa over tOSU, but KNOW they will get torched and questioned nationally and loudly if they drop Iowa below tOSU.
6. CFP Committee ex coaches Alvarez/Osborne/Johnson will have strong pull for the above factors

Book it:

ROSE: Stanford/Iowa
FIESTA: tOSU/ND

Ain't gonna happen. OSU will be ranked ahead of Iowa and the committee has already stated they will take the higher ranked team. Done deal.

Maybe, but I obviously disagree. Is this your feeling, or what reasons are you basing this on? ... just curious.

This is starting to feel like a beauty pageant. OSU is the blonde with the fake boobs, looks great in a bikini and nails the question about global warming with some rehearsed answer. Iowa is the sneaky hot chick who happens to stumble during the talent portion of the competition.

Okay, I have put waaaay too much thought into that.......nevermind.

Am I crazy to believe that the Rose bowl committee will communicate to the playoff committee who they want higher in the rankings?

Said it all along... Comes down to $$ and tv ratings.

The he playoff committee did their job in selecting the top 4. After that, do they really care who is 5th or 6th?? Doubt it and I'm sure there are relationships between the Rose and playoff committee.

So no, I don't for a second believe the Rose is waiting for the playoff committee as much as I think they are dictating who they want.

Weren't OSU fans all out in full force in Pasadena just last year...yes, not the Rose "Bowl", but at " the" rose bowl? So i would guess rose committee wants Iowa pocketbooks now, knowing OSU fans have recently traveled to SoCal. Plus all the above mentioned strong reasons posted by dad82 above....I too think we will be ranked #6 playing #5 Stanford on Jan 1st in the Rose Bowl. We'll see.

1. Ohio State is a blue blood program.
2. Ohio State is a blue blood program.
3. I don't see how Iowa will stay ahead of OSU in the rankings.
4. Ohio State is a blue blood program.

Unlike the NCAA basketball tournament....which LOVES the Cinderella, football is different. Name counts for everything. Cinderella's need not apply.

So much for Blue Bloods and 1% chance?
