Good point Pin. You'll be swamped posting on all the other threads!
well its not that just nothing to preview uni has a shot at winning 149 and HWT but here you go with my probable lineups. some of these matches might not be majors because their respect for doug but iowas mentality is to never let up so thats why i gave them the w's i did.
125- MCD (6-0) vs Terrance Young (7-2)
a lot of people think flores will be starting but from what ive been seeing and hearing is that young should be the starter here winning the uni open. if they do start him it won't be a great varsity match MCD fall
IA-6
UNI-0
133 - Tony Ramos (3-0) vs Ryan Jauch (9-4)
ramos dec. jauch, 7-4, at 2010 duhawk open and moore has just destroyed him pinning him 3 times with at 15-8 win also so they might send moore out there given the past matches. Either way i see the hawks getting back to back falls
IA-12
UNI-0
141 - Mark Ballweg (6-0) vs Aaron Senzee (7-4)
mark has been wrestling VERY well this year being undefeated and has grown alot from past years. don't see senzee having a shot at this match either but not a fall. ballweg gets a major
IA- 16
UNI- 0
149 - Jeret Chiri (2-2) vs Jamal Lawrence (7-7)
this is the only weight i see uni having a chance and its very slim. both wrestlers aren't very good so i'll give lawrence the win here because he has more matches under his belt this year and chiri just hasn't shown me anything this year. lawrence pulls off a decision in a ugly match. i might even switch this prediction before the dual to chiri who knows
IA- 16
UNI- 3
157 - Derek St. John (6-0) vs David Bonin (8-4)
bonin will be no match for dsj. he is wrestling ok but as far as i can see dsj is our mcd for the 2010-2011 season. with that said dsj won pin or tfall here but puts on a clinic almost getting a tfall hawks win another embarrasing match for uni
IA- 20
UNI-3
165 - Aaron Janssen (9-0) vs Nick Pickerell (4-3)
i am really hoping to see janssen in the lineup tonight and he has a good matchup to get pumped up for tonight. pickerell is a returning national qualifier but not much of one. i had high hopes for nick going into college but his body just hasn't fit well for d1 wrestling. janssen or whoever is on the mat gets a decision
IA- 23
UNI- 3
174 - Ethen Lofthouse (4-2) vs Brice Wolf (8-4)
these two battled it out earlier with lofthouse dec. Wolf, 6-5, at the brand open. ethen is not on the roll we thought he was going to be on after losing in the isu dual. wolf is a good wrestler and at first didn't give him a chance to win this match in front of a home crowd but now im giving him a slim chance to win but lofthouse will prevail with a decision
IA- 26
UNI-3
184 - Grant Gambrall (6-0) vs Ryan Loder (7-4)
whats more to say than gambrall is going to be a contender and people are starting to notice. gambrall dec. loder, 8-3 0 at grand view open earlier and with the way grant has been wrestling i think he'll widen the gap against loder getting a major
IA- 30
UNI- 3
197 - Luke Lofthouse (5-1) vs Andy O'Loughlin (6-4)
lofthouse-lofthouse-lofthouse (shaking my head back and forth) is just a goofy guy and can't get my grip around why i get nervous when he wrestles. not going to breakdown this match because i have nothing to say but luke wins by decision
IA-33
UNI-3
HWT - Blake Rasing (5-1) vs Christian Brantley (11-1)
this is going to be the best match of the night and uni's really only shot of winning a match in my eyes. they have some history Rasing dec. Brantley, 11-9 in TB-1, at 2007 Jim Fox Open and Brantley dec. Rasing, 3-2, at 2009-10 dual. hwt's are hwt's and they are always going to be close matches with rasing. love to give the hawks a win here but i'll give uni the benefit of the doubt and give brantly the W in a match that could go either way
