Iowa vs. the NCAA fat cats..

—So the VCU coach has said he had the 5 required healthy players to compete against Oregon. This is the rule the NCAA had put out before the tourny started. Yet the NCAA gave some BS answer in why they couldn’t play.

—Hawks got put in the hardest region. with Gonzaga

—Iowa finished their game around
8-8:30ish. The NCAA “rewards” Iowa by having them play at 11 AM Monday. Oregon gets another day of rest.

Sure seems as if the NCAA is doing everything it can to stick it to Iowa...

The QANON site says that this whole thing was cooked up by the NCAA last week. There is a top secret file that was leaked to FRYOWA that says disqualifying VCU was only the first step in the NCAA's quest to screw over Iowa. It's all related to Bohannon's involvement in the Player Image movement to get players paid for their likeness being used in promotions for NCAA basketball.

The secret file also contains information about the NCAA hiring Jeff Gillooly to plot an attack on Luka Garza by luring him into a hotel room with Bosnian women carrying trays of baklava where he will be attacked by the Gillooly gang.

Currently, the FBI believes Fryowa may be in on the plot as he has been wiping the Hawkeyenation board of all posts related to this topic and his involvement.

I only hope that somehow this post isn't removed before it can be disseminated. The moderator is in on this plot...and needs to be stopped.

If you knew anything you’d know it wasn’t Gillooly. It was the fat guy partner of his.

Although it may not be a conspiracy, Iowa sure has poor freaking luck when it comes to this tournament. Remember when they paired Iowa with Duke in back to back years for a 2nd round loss special?

In addition to our questionable game time the refs are letting Illinois get absolutely mugged. Garza breathed on Cockburn and got called for a foul. Loyola is basically molesting him and there's only silence.

I don't have a problem with VCU having to forfeit. Not sure what the rules stated, but sounds like they had several positive tests in the last 2 days so who knows how many others would test positive the next day. Whatever the reason for so many testing positive, they had to know they would likely get shut down if they had positives on their team.

Seems like the Hawks always played Duke or Kentucky or Villanova

Second Round

Quite a few times they played the National Champions in the second round

Go 2-7, 3-6 on the road in your conference with an average non con schedule, which Davis frequently did, and you will draw a one or two seed in round two.

Fran in '15, '16, and '19? Same thing.

Yeah. And the best part of it was the Duke games were always in Greensboro or Raleigh, Nova games were in Philly and aside from the year we played UK at Hempstead Arena, those games were either in Ohio or Kentucky.

If Iowa was in Oregon's shoes not a single person here would be complaining. The name of the game is advance. It isn't Oregon's fault they got the free pass to the next round. If it were Iowa in their place there isn't one of us that would be disappointed that we advanced with out playing because at the end of the day its all about moving on to the next round.

This.

It's exactly like people here only complaining about "bad officiating" when they feel like it's their team getting screwed.

You never once hear people barking about "bad calls" that go Iowa's way even though they're supposedly just as bad.

I would be disappointed as I want to watch them play. Of course advancing is important too but I have more fun watching than not
