***Iowa vs Purdue Game thread***

Might as well say it right here, right now! Lose our first game and most fans will be calling for Brian’s head. Last place in conference in offense. Who else keeps their job after this type of performance?

He also got 60 of those 100 on a single play that, if Hankins could have corralled him, probably would have gone for 6yds instead of 60.

Exactly, elite receivers are going to get catches. It’s what you do with the rest of the guys that matters.
 
I think the Maryland game got fans' hopes up a bit too much. Iowa struggled a bit against Kent St. and Colorado St. Then they struggled against PSU and now Purdue. This is who Iowa is.
 
Would you have given Purdue the ball and the wind to start 3rd qtr when behind?

And right now the difference is their qbs are comfortable with little pressure and Petras doesnt have 2-3 seconds.
 
Brohm as far as coaching during a game gets the job done against us. Our secondary today just seems too slow. Here’s hoping it gets better but it does not have that feel today. And if the offense thinks they can take their time they are wrong. Purdue scores again before we do… it is bad And that was awful play call.

I figured we’ve been on borrowed time all year, it’s all gravy and the West is still very much in reach. We weren’t winning a Natty regardless so the focus is still a BIG title.

Ugh! 3rd and 6 and Iowa gets -1. Iowa really needs more of a downfield threat.

If Purdue scores here, it might be over.
 
This is so much like the 2017 game when Purdue got some wind and the ball to start the 3rd qtr and they threw two long td passes on the way from coming back from being down at halftime to beat the hawks.

This time they had the lead. Now if purdue scores a TD now to go up 24 to 7 watch out.
