Iowa vs Princeton Game Thread

Hawks had to win that one twice and it is very tough to do after a deflating shot like that at the buzzer. It has to give them confidence going forward, that they can win games. They need tough defense and execution.

What a game! I guess they showed me they got game! 3 ridiculous shots by Princeton. 2 were buzzer beaters. Hawks had 47 rebounds! Now that Princeton team was tall and yet the Hawks showed them how to get it done! McKenna and Gabbie didn't play like freshmen tonight in the second half. Lexie came in and played defense like she was possessed! Amanda finally did come through on the offensive side of things late and just killed Princeton on the boards grabbing 13 boards! I wrote them off. Terrible performance the first half but whoa did that change in the second half! The bench helped get things turned around and it was a dog fight the rest of the way. Hawks maybe are starting to show signs of jelling and gaining confidence. The home win streak is still alive and cant wait till they get back to Carver after their trip to Puerto Rico. Go Hawks!
 
Very nice report Judzeehawk. After the beat down in Cedar Falls, they were lacking in confidence. This game has to help with that. Coach is going to have to stay after them and keep building them up. but they have the talent to be much better than the preseason prognostications.
