Iowa vs. Ohio State

Iowa opens as a 6 point favorite.

Side Note - Wisconsin is favored by 4 at Illinois. Iowa State is a 7 point underdog tonight.
 
I'll take Iowa and give the points, take Iowa ST with +7, but that Illinois gm looks Tight, but I'll go with Illinois based on Wisky trending down and on strength of Illinois intense 2h effort vs Iowa.

Outright winners are Iowa, OSU, and ill annoy.
 
Who cares about ISU....but another WI loss would be nice.

I wanna see the BIG FAT BROOM against O$U though...how long has it been since the Hawks have swept em? That is an accomplishment even if the bucks are a half a beat off this season.
 
Yes, but The subject matter of 1st 4 posts all mention Iowa State...

I think if Iowa beats tOSU and MICH the program should no longer have the complex that Iowa 'still hasnt arrived', or 'still needs signature wins'.

If Iowa beats the spread (yet again) and wind handily vs these 'marquee names' then may even the AP will also see what KenPom, Sagarin, and the BPI has been saying for weeks, that this Iowa team is Top 10 and deserving of that 2-3 seed.

Yeah, and why is that? Not pointing a finger at you, necessarily, but will simply remind people this is an IOWA HAWKEYES message board, not one for that other school over in teh cornfields.
 
I sure hope no one is looking past this game, especially the players. Ohio State is still capable of beating anybody on any given night and Iowa needs to protect the home court.
 
Why are we only 6 point favorites? At CHA, we crushed them on the road, they are not ranked. This will be a 20 point rout.
 
Be careful hfl9....these are the games that can be overlooked very easily...just sayin....every game from now on is a nail biter....I agree, in carver, should be more, but OSU won't be going away...this is right down to the wire....hope I'm wrong...

I don't think Fran lets his guys look past any opponent. As a fan I expect to win and know we should win. I also know we better show up to play. A better way to say it is I haven't even thought about the Michigan game other than knowing it's the next game. Our win at Ohio State is a waste if we give it back at home...IMO
 
You know darn well they are coming in here wanting revenge for the loss on their home court and if Iowa goes on 10 minute field goal droughts they can lose to anybody. I imagine there will be some empty seats in CHA tonight with the threat of a storm moving in and I doubt the students will be filling their section tonight. Fran wants to talk about toughness, well tonight will demonstrate if that message got through to them.
 
I think I got this one. If Iowa scores more baskets, they will win. Seems simple to me. Just do this.

I thought the MSU game would have been a double digit win as well....and would have had we been able to hit the broad side of a barn and make a few more free throws. But those are the things you can never plan for. Iowa SHOULD beat OSU by 10 or more, but you just never know. That's why games aren't played on paper, but inside of your tv! :D
