Greenwood I'm still puzzled by. People were saying he was fine a day or two after the MSU game. I didn't think he was in the Indiana game at all, but some said he was in there the first quarter and yanked. Ferentz trying to protect him, or his abilities severely lowered?

Let us hope it's just a matter of Greenwood and Sandeman being close to 100% for the OSU game. Not looking ahead but would rather have them both back at close to 100% than to play them when they are not ready.

Greenwood was in for most of the first series until we came and made a hit. He immediately left the game after that hit. It was on the play where they lined up in the wildcat I believe, down around the 20 or so yardline. Greenwood simply gave it a go and obviously couldn't with all that contact. Rest him up, get his neck healthy and ready to go for tOSU.

Well if we don't have sandeman back for punt returns, we seriously teach our players to get out of the way or fair catch the ball! We can't afford to fumble like that again! Two different guys fumbled, luckily keenan got his back!

I was also hoping that we would have Sandeman back.Just shows how much punt returns can cost a team.

I saw this thread listed at the bottom of the current 2-deep thread and looking at it got me thinking: would any current player start on this '09 team? Wirfs over Calloway (RIP), probably. I don't remember why Marvin wasn't starting. That was a team!

-Wirfs at RT
-AJE over Binns
-Stone over Greenwood at the other safety spot

That team was awesome.

AJE or Binns is a toss-up unless / until AJ gets going again. BB was good. Gino > BG but... respect / sympathy.
C’mon man. Do not let your expectations and current thoughts on AJEs recent play sway you. He was a 1st team all B1G player already. Has more career sacks already than Binns. There’s not even an argument there AJE and it’s not close. Binns was a very solid player for sure so that’s not a knock on him.

Damn, what a good team. And the O line was so good it made Wehger a very good back. Now we have Goodson, who could be fantastic, getting crushed.

I would go with Colbert over Jeremiah Hunter.

Djimon is really coming on!

I always thought Trey Stross was overrated, and had the union card. I would put Brandon Smith ahead of him for sure, probably ISM.

Geez... It's November already and Stross is still listed as a starter over McNutt. I swear this coaching staff will never get a clue. Any chance these bozo's will be replaced anytime soon? Can we get a new OC?

Yea Binns was a very solid player. We forget that AJ was the #1 DE in the country out of high school and was first team All Big Ten as a true sophomore. He is struggling a bit with all the blocking schemes towards him, but could you imagine him and Clayborn bringing the pressure from opposing sides! Now an argument could be made between him and Clayborn right now for sure, but when Clayborn left he was a senior.
