Iowa vs. Michigan

Yay!! Just decided to hit the Big House next year and maybe Evanston just because it's close and I'd love to see us turn that place into Kinnick East.

Stadiums I've done:
The Shoe
Metrodome
Illinois

Stadiums left to do
Big House -planned
Happy Valley - non negotiable...I HAVE to go to a game there
The Swamp
Rose Bowl :)
Memorial Stadium NU

Yeah but the positives are: family in chicago=no hotel, cheap tickets, weekend in chicago...and of course...Get to see the Hawks!!

Evanston's a JOKE. Might as well go watch a game at Olin high school.

Honestly, wouldn't fans almost rather watch a big time college football game in a high school stadium if they could?

I like Ryan Field because it is small enough to almost hear the hits and grunts of the players on the field from the stands. Yet,tickets are plentiful. Personally, that is the best situation for me to really enjoy the game itself. I do not get what having 110k fans in the Big House, really do to add to the actual football watching experience. You are a mile away from the action, and there are 100k michigan fans screaming around you.

At NW, Iowa has about 16k fans, NW has about 12k fans, so Iowa fans dominate...and again, now that they have lowered the field, the viewing is pretty decent from about anywhere in the stadium.
I suppose it goes back to the sheer spectacle of the Big House and the Shoe, ect...but for my money, give me the intimacy of Kinnick and Ryan Field where I can almost smell the sweat of the players in the stands. Now, please win the darn game,Hawks!!

The 2002 game up in Ann Arbor is by far my favorite game that I've seen in person. Singing the fight song with the team in a empty big house. Just awesome.
