Two uptempo teams, could be a fun game to watch, hope the Hawks are competitve but I predict Mich 96-Hawks 78, hope I'm wrong, the hawks have to figure out a way to win 10 big ten games to go dancing!
Herby's head would explode if he read this thread........
The IU loss will haunt us all year...it was a gift from IU,and we refused to pick it up.
Fran's #1 priority for this game is guard the 3 point shot. Also, Iowa needs to come ready to play, and play with a ton of intensity. I don't believe he had them ready to play for the IU game. You could tell by the lack of movement and standing around on the offensive end.
If you can point out where he's wrong, I'd greatly appreciate it. Most people are calling for an ugly loss in this thread. It's not like Ghost is going against the grain here.
A sense of optimism never hurt anybody. Did it Tm?
It doesn't. However, delusion hurts lots of people every day.
I can either lie to make you feel better, or I can tell the truth to make me feel better. Since I am, by all objective metrics, more important than you, the truth has to be told here.
Hey. If it makes your day to hide behind a PC and pump yourself up and rip on posters and / or players? Congrats. Speaks volumes.
Way to be a pessimist brah.
Michigan is the best team in the league and has a legit shot at winning the NC.
They have at least 6 NBA prospects on their roster.
They are plenty deep, altho I was a bit surprised to see Bielfelt out there, for Horford,I guess.
Hardaway,GRIII,Morgan,McGary,Burke and Stauskus are all hugely talented.
Sorry,but I see it UM 83 Iowa 65.
The MSU game becomes a must win, unfortunately, but that can be done in Carver. The IU loss will haunt us all year...it was a gift from IU,and we refused to pick it up.
A sense of optimism never hurt anybody. Did it Tm?
It does every single day. Optimism leads to disappointment. Disappointment hurts.
But in any case, my point was that there's no reason to single out ghost for a pessimistic post. Hell, he was calling for a slimmer margin of defeat than quite a few other posters in this thread.
Disagree with "having them ready". I think it was more "rust". I can't remember the last decent performance after such a long layoff. While a couple days shorter, this is another long (6-day) layoff, let alone on the road at Chrisler. At least they've been on campus and back into routine, as opposed to some time off over Christmas.
Still, the last time after long layoffs:
-- last year, 9-days off in mid-January, lost to Nebraska at home, 79-73.
-- last year, 7-days off in mid-February, lost at Penn State, 69-64.
Bad losses to bad teams after longer than usual days off. This is a better Hawkeye team but I don't like the trend or this situation.
They really have to get ahead in first half by 15 points then cruise the rest of second half and then win by one point
