Iowa vs. Michigan prediction thread

Michigan has to lose a game some time, unfortunately for the Hawks I don't think this is the time. Best chance is to keep it close as Michigan hasn't really been tested in a close game this season.

Wolverines 79-64

I dont like the Hawks chances in this one and it always seems to get ugly up in Crisler.

Iowa- 64

Michigan- 81

I hope Michigan used up all their hot shooting in Evanston last night, they put on one hell of a show from behind the arc. I am hoping for a Hawkeye victory every game but this one I have had chalked up as a loss since I saw the schedule. I hope they prove me wrong Sunday!!

Go Hawks

We have no answer for Trey Burke and Hardaway Jr. Beatdown.

We might not have an answer for that freshman sharpshooter from Canada who never seems to miss a three, Nik Stauskaus......

If we can keep it around a ten point deficit, I will be pleased. Michigan is another final four capable team......

The bad part about it though is Stauskas was 2-7 his worst game this year, I believe.

UM - 79
UI - 65

If RDM's shots drop or JO gets hot from outside it MIGHT make things closer. But I really don't see Iowa winning this game. But I will be cheering them on and sending as much karma/mojo towards Ann Arbor as I can.

GO HAWKS!!!

I believe this game is more winable than the game against Indiana. Indiana is a deeper team, with better post presence. Burke is the best guard in the league and Hardaway is a talented 2 guard. I think Marble finally gets sick of being in Hardaway's shadow and plays lights out. Morgan will get some points against Woody and Gabe, but not the 19 that Zeller had. The main thing we have going for us is that our opponent 3 pt percentage is pretty good, and that is how they make their runs. So if we can keep them to making less than 6 three pointers, it puts us in a good position. If we don't get in the habit of chucking three's, we will keep it close. My heart says 80-72 Hawks, my brain says 85 - 75 Wolverines.

I don't agree with your first two sentences, Michigan is a lot deeper team than people realize. Inside they are better than given credit and when Horford returns, even better, their guards are unreal. If they run into a team that is allowed to hold, grab and be extremely physical they could have some issues. UM can go 10 deep legitimately, IU can't. Michigan also just doesn't foul.

IU and UM are better than the rest today, we'll see in the end whoever between the two wins the most road games decides the champ.

LOL. More winnable than Indiana? We had trouble the last time we played a team with good guards on the road. Now imagine that team, but like 8 times better. Michigan 82- Iowa 66

Meatchickens 82 - Hawks 68.

don't like the feel of this game. maybe Gus calling the game will bring us some luck.

Michigan is the best team in the league and has a legit shot at winning the NC.
They have at least 6 NBA prospects on their roster.
They are plenty deep, altho I was a bit surprised to see Bielfelt out there, for Horford,I guess.
Hardaway,GRIII,Morgan,McGary,Burke and Stauskus are all hugely talented.
Sorry,but I see it UM 83 Iowa 65.

The MSU game becomes a must win, unfortunately, but that can be done in Carver. The IU loss will haunt us all year...it was a gift from IU,and we refused to pick it up.
