Iowa vs. Michigan on Friday next week.

Michigan has had a group of assistants looking for soft landing spots for their potential next gigs. They are in such limbo land I'm half surprised their hasn't been a purging of their recruits as we come up on signing day.

Yes Petras is a huge wildcard still. He seems to put together a couple great possessions a game but you never know when they'll be. With the rest being total shit. I honestly see what's been happening as Iowa winning despite him not even remotely because of him. But that's just me.

They should script the first series without Petras. All wildcat and maybe put Padilla in as a WR and have him get one on a jet sweep or double reverse for a pass to LaPorta once Michigan sells out on the run. Michigan will be like "what the hell just happened?" Hopefully give him a 3 or 7 point lead before he has to take the field. Maybe take the edge off a little bit.

Anything I'd probably be up for trying. I just can't deal with some of the bad play. Like that 3 and 1 play. (first of all why didn't BF call a run there?) How in the hell Petras decided to look to the side of the field where literally NO RECEIVERS WERE AT and decide to throw it out of bounds when he had all the time to throw is beyond me. Had 3 receivers to the left and never looked that way.

If I'm the coaches that about kills whatever confidence I'd have in the kid as a QB almost. That can't happen in week 8 or whatever this was. Good grief. Total drive killer. QB sneak that move the chains. Hell I want my QB in that situation to overrule the coaches call when BF does that. Be like nope I'm not dropping back to pass on this I'm getting the 1st down behind the best center in football.

Too often we outsmart ourselves. I mean it goes to show you how down Wisky is this yr that they were in that game as long as they were. We shoulda been up more way earlier. I can be ok with losing to better faster more athletic teams with smart coaches. But not with us being stupid and playing away from our strengths.

Brian won't do anything fancy in the first quarter. Just take it to them and pound the rock, with a pit of passing for first downs.

Bro, I know we won by 21, but we could have easily lost that game. The defense played lights out, though. But imagine if they score when they got the rock at the 5 and the ISM TD got called back for the celebration and we failed to convert. That game was A LOT closer than the score indicated. I'll take it, but it was about the least comfortable 21 point win I've ever seen.

You’re overall point is correct, but the TD wouldn’t have been called back; he stepped in the end zone before the flip. It would have just been 15 unsportsmanlike enforced after the kickoff.

No doubt about it. But some of those 'almost' scenarios were our doing. The fumbled punt. Our punter dropping the ball and kicking it from the ground. Punting when we coulda got a 1st down if we just qb sneaked it. Wisky didn't do anything hardly. Hell even on that long pass that got them down to the goal line they got lucky with 2 guys in the same spot that we shoulda been able to defend better. That was the biggest mistake of the day defensively. But yeah if ever there was a 21 pt win that kept you on the edge of your seat this was it.

Wisconsin did nothing to show that they were in this game.

Iowa did plenty to ensure Wisconsin was in this game.

stupid play call by brian, could have easily been a qb sneak or two of them

Any surprise that tyler linderbaum leads some of the best QB sneaks of all time

I saw it the completely other way. The only TD they scored we gave to them and outside of our mistakes I didn't think it was as close as the score indicated. IMO it felt like the Wiscy vs. Iowa game in 2016 (I think), except the roles were reversed. After the first half, it felt to me like unless we gift wrapped them a TD the game was over if we got into double digits. With the way our defense held them in check I didn't see it all that close at all.

Unfortunately it felt like this years post season for the Cubs. Despite the fact we weren't putting up a ton of points once got up 2 possessions, it felt like game over. It was never a game where the offense really mattered, but rather a game that the defense wasn't ever in doubt.
