this match a lot of ppl will be taking russ but i really think marion's shape is out of this world and will simply out work russ. i think russ is very good his record speaks volumes beating Minnesota's No. 2 Mike Thorn, Illinois' No. 4 Jimmy Kennedy, Cal Poly's No. 5 Boris Novachkov and Penn State's No. 7 Andrew Alton. He owns three wins against Alton, picking up a 2-1 tiebreaker decision last Sunday (Feb. 6) but the hunger for marion is gonna be something great to watch the rest of the season!

i have like grajales ever since i first saw him in high school but ballweg COULD step up here and get a win. not being bias im giving grajales the win

nothing special in this match st john just comes away with a decision

Jans has really caught my eye this season but only has a ranking of 13th i think yates is a good wrestler for jans being undefeated in the big ten but yates really hasn't been tested. just a decision here for jans

174: Lofthouse dec Zeerip
Zeerip is coming off an upset win against 12th-ranked Ben Jordan but there will be no upset here. lofthouse will continue to wrestle well keeping his ranking in the top ten

184: Gambrall dec Collins?
don't know a lot about collins but gamb has been spotty and don't see any bonus points here

Iowa 25-3

197: Lofthouse dec Biondo
biondo is coming off his 100th win and is currently sitting around the 10th ranked marked so he isn't a for sure win by any means. i do think loft won't have a problem beating biondo and wins by dec.

HWT: Apland dec Rasing
I DON'T KNOW what tom can do to get a fire under this kids *** but he really is the only one we can't count on at this point in my eyes. no excitement no faith

Looks good. I can't say I know that much about Michigan, but I'm REALLY looking forward Marion's match w/ Russell. Big couple of weeks here for Montell.
 


I remember LeClare gave Russell all he could handle and was ahead of him twice late in the match. I think If Montel can press the pace , Montell has better defense than LeClare had, I like for a "minor" upset with us being at home.

149 Grajales DEC Ballweg 10-3, We'll have a better idea of how Ballweg will fair up a weight. Grajales is uber-talented (#2 overall recruit) but on the small side at 149.

157 DSJ DEC Zeerip 13-3

184 Gambrall MD Collins 20-3

197 Lofthouse DEC Biondo 23-3, Another close one. Could go either way, though Lofthouse won their only previous matchup, 9-6 last year.

HWT Rasing DEC Apland 26-3, Rasing finally gets an upset win. He's been so close the last 2 years.
 






I think that we'll see Ballweg beat Grajales at 149. There should be some good matches at 141, 149, 165, 197, and HWT but they are all VERY winnable. My gut tells me that Russell wins at 141 but something is making me think that Marin can get him. It will be a fun match for sure and Carver should be rocking!
 




Bigtennetwork.com says they are streaming it, but their schedule has been wrong before, so who knows. I'm planning on trying to watch it there.
