She played a lot of minutes and worked very hard on both sides of the ball.
what the heck?!?!? I cant believe that MSU player hit the 3 to tie with 4 seconds left
I'm watching the replay now. Nice to have a player go off and not cost us the game. Bre Cera was terrific on defense for long stretches of this game. Iowa got more hustle plays than I'm used to seeing from them. How many 35 footers did Jankowska bank in -2 or more? wow. The team played very hard hope this carries forward and 25 points for Ally, she needs 125 for the record. 6 games 20.9 average, 7 games 18.9 average.Tori Jankaska for msu is a fantastic player. Tori shoots like that every game. Iowa did a great job on her for 3&3/4 quarters. It's only a matter of time before she starts lighting it up! This was a sweet win for the Lady Hawks and they now know it's possible to win without Tania. It's a shame we'll be without Tania the rest of the year. Finally Chase got to play on the block and did some very good things and hopefully she'll move to the bucket more. Great game Ladies! Now go get osu!
I think you are right, but it's not a sure thing. Megan will end her sophomore year about 75 points behind Disterhoft's pace, so she will have some work to do. Ally really benefitted from having Sam Logic pass to her and set a fast pace her 1st two years.I was thinking that the scoring record once set may only stand for 2 years barring injury.
Nice to see you show up Rob. You haven't been covering the Lady Hawks this year. I agree that the men's and women's teams are running parallel. It's been a pretty exciting year!Lots of parallels between the men's and women's teams this season. Fun to watch with a lot of young talent.
With Ally gone next year might help with Megan scoring more. The Lady Hawks do have a lot of ways to score but I think Megan will be a 20 point average at least.I think you are right, but it's not a sure thing. Great post hagarwood! This is an exciting team. They have just struggled with poise and confidence all year. They have excellent talent and athleticism and it must frustrate Coach Bluder to watch them battle Maryland on better than even terms for long stretches and then play like freshmen for 5 to 10 minutes and bury themselves. This win was a great response to the loss of Tania and the loss to Michigan. As I said before it's nice to win when a player explodes against you like Tori did last night. I hope this gives them confidence to finish the last 5 games (tOSU, Northwestern,Purdue, Indiana, and Wisconsin) strongly. Good luck to them.
Bre was looking for her shot........finally. Kathleen and Bre was switching off on Jankoska and doing a great job. It's so hard to keep a shooter like Tori down. Tori dang near made a 3/4 court shot to end the game. I'm so very happy we won't face her again unless it's in the B1G tourney. I sure hope Ally makes it!I'm watching the replay now.
