Iowa vs. Iowa State

Hey all!

My cousin, who for some reason decided one day to be an Cyclone fan, is taking shots at Hawkeye football and I was wondering if anyone knows Iowa's record compared to Iowa State's record the past 5-10 years? And how many of those years we beat the cyclones and how many of those years they beat us?

I'm a bit curious.

Thanks in advance!

To be fair, since 1999 (Coach Ferentz's first season) the series is tied 6-6. Coach Fry won 15 straight before losing to the Cyclones in 1998, his final season. If you want to play with numbers, Iowa has won six out of the last eight games.

Interesting...it appears that when the clowns have won they have won three or four games in a row. The last streak was when Hayden retired and a new coaching staff took over...they won four games in a row. When they aren't winning three or four in a row, they win about every three years. Overall, not counting the 15 year win streak, Iowa wins about three to one. We have won six out of the last 8 games, so one could say that Iowa will probably win this year also--that will be seven out of the last nine. Next game is in Iowa City, with a much more experienced team...eight out 10. KF and the coaching staff are slowly but surely bringing back the dominance. But strange things do happen and the clowns win on occasion...so perhaps this is their year. I don't think so but maybe, just maybe.

On the other hand, if Iowa wins this year and next, much of the luster of the series will be gone again.
