Iowa vs Drake

It appears as though Drake will hold Iowa fans hostage and make us buy a 3 game package if we want to watch Fran and the Hawks in Des Moines.
 
It's 40 bucks plus think of it from their point of view, they don't want the knapp center to be full of hawkeye fans so this is a way to get more drake fans at 3 "big" games.
 
They are doing to make money and sell out 3 games. I dont blame them, i am just sick of paying top dollar to see the Hawks play....

Why in the hell doesn't Drake host the Iowa and Iowa State games at Wells Fargo Arena?

yes, they would lose some home-court advantage, but they get a much bigger gate!
 
What exactly did they do? I looked a couple weeks ago and Iowa-Drake single game tickets were to go on sale today. I went on the site today and they said they won't be on sale until next week?

What is the 3 game package? Is it $40?
 
All Drake single game tickets went on sale today except the Iowa game. As of today, the Iowa game can only be purchased with the 3 game package.
 
What do they think this is... football? lol. I will have no problem with watching this game on tv or listening on the radio.

Yeah, but I have always went to the Drake Iowa game here in Des Moines. It is so easy to do. Then I try to make 2-4 in IC each year. That is dumb. I have no desire to go to any of the other Drake games. Hell, I would rather watch a high school basketball game than Drake v. S. Illinois.
 
Obviously you wouldn't have a desire to watch any other Drake games...your an Iowa fan!@ Looks like their ticket plan is already lowering the amount of away fans in the building! But I'm still going because $40 for three games is pretty d*mn cheap...hell, I'd pay $40 just for one Iowa-Drake game but that's just me.
 
Really, all of Iowa's games are $18 each. That includes OSU, Michigan St., Illinois, ISU, etc. $40 is not cheap...
 
I don't mind Drake games at all. My dad is a season ticket holder there, so I usually get to around 1/2 a dozen games a year. When the team is good, that building is very loud.
 
Iowa/Drake tickets are $28 apiece, and don't have to be purchased with the True Blue Pack. It sounds like Drake is offering a $25 ticket rate to groups of 10 or more, so I'm sure that would apply to us as well.
