Jeebus, Peyton! I want so badly for you to do good but you make it so hard when you do 8th grade things like quick bombs and dumb reach fouls and fumbling, unforced turnovers as a senior.

What the Hell, Sanford! I get ur having a bad night and prolly quite frustrated but you can't just flush the whole thing on your teammates trying to find yourself with junk heaves. Have a seat!

Ugly loss. Fran's approach to practice needs to be: 1 hour perimeter defense, 45 minutes screening out and team help and then about 10 minutes of free shooting.

Here's the turning point of the season ...
Games like this are either totally flushed and forgotten or they convince you how bad u might be and beat you the rest of the season.
I was fairly optimistic about this team - if nothing else lookng forward to watching them compete and grow to possibilities. Now I watch a completely disengaged coach and faltering upper class leadership and fear it will be the latter as this season plays out.

If we’re going to be able to clone players yes let’s get two Freeman’s and two Thelwells. Can we have two Dix also?
Thelwell seems like the only player with that killer instinct to want to win. I saw no effort from the other players. He was hustling on every play regardless of the score. I saw no killer instinct in Freeman or Dix, yes Dix can shoot but was not impressed with his defensive effort. No body likes watching a team with no fight. I can watch any team loose and enjoy the game if they at least lay it all out.

Damn!!!!! Got done with dinner with friends and checked the score.
When I attended the Utah NIT game last year Fran seemed uninterested. There were several bad calls in that game by the officials and I thought ok here we go. We’re going to see Fran get angry with the officials. Nope. I mean I get it. It was an NIT game. Maybe he is just starting to age and do t have the drive like he used to.
It’s a very awkward and strange circumstance to have a son portal out of from a team that your father is coaching and at the same time have your four star brother choose to go the the same school that your are transferring to and where your brother is an assistant coach.
I have been following college basketball for decades and don’t remember seeing any thing like this.

Fran is notorious for not taking timeouts so I'm not sure that's evidence if him checking out.

The only time I remember a D1 coach having a son playing D1 but not for his father was Marc Raveling at Drake in the early 1990's. And Drake's coach at the time was Rudy Washington who was a former assistant to and a close friend of George Raveling.

Certainly, extremely disappointing but is is out of the way
Really don't anticipate any more games like this one
Gonna take a couple of very good games to renew my enthusiasm
Thought they were gonna be competitive
When they are on, they are a pleasure to watch, and the talent is there
Just ran into a buzzsaw last night at the Kohl Center
Not to mention the fact that the girl friend of the son who is the asst coach is also playing hoops in Indianapolis. Might as well retire and reunite the family!

The effort of most of this team in this game was pathetic. Where’s their sense of pride. Unfortunately the women are giving a similar effort right now against Maryland. Pull the upper classes and let the freshman play. They at least seem to care.
