Iowa vrs Wisconsin

Wisky playing at an upbeat pace. That's not their usual game. They are more of a half court type of offense. Let's hope that bites them in the ass in the second half.

Can't say it enough but Fran's point guard recruiting is just SORRY. We need a scorer, defender, and ball distributer at the position.

It is really showing in this game.

Fantom foul call there on Iowa with clock expiring. Wisky up 54-43

Wisky with 9 three pointers which is usually their game total average. Several of those three's were wide open, non-contested shots. So far this doesn't even look like one of Wisconsin's better teams. I would even say they are below average. However it looks like a typical Fran defense. I mean seriously we gave up 54 points in the first half.

We are short another big down low, and a good big ten point guard of being very dangerous. Someone has got to step it up or this is going to be a very long season.

That's an unusual amount of points in a half for Wisconsin!
Exactly. Yes the three's are falling the first half, but like I said with wide open, uncontested shots it's like shooting in practice. I am not counting Iowa out of this game yet, but what position player is going to step up and get Iowa back in the game?

I am starting to wonder if Fran has seen the writing on the wall. At this point the team just seems lacking with the exception of Freeman. One guy can't do it all. Everyone else on the team are streaking players. When we are hot we can beat anyone, but when we are off any team in the B1G can beat us.

Historically, yes, however, I've been high on Thelwell since exhibition and feel he's best all around pg under Fran since Dev Marble. Also like Harding for quickness and moxie but but just small and a bit helter-skelter.

Never like good starts by Dix or Sandfort. Always leads to lulls - see Ut St, ISU,.NwU, tonight. Still think Sandforts (both) are great efforts that are over lauded, overplayed and too often over their heads.

Iowa might win this with 2 Thelwells, 2 Freeman's and Josh. As is ... typical ...
Good start, lull, down double digits (as Fran idly watches) comeback to -5 to +3, lose by at least the original spread

In 10 minutes of game time, Hawks have gone from tied to down 20. Meanwhile, not a single timeout, let alone, adjustment by Fran.

That's phuqing treachery by a coach at any level!

Hes checked out! If ur going to Indy, get the F out this weekend! No loss as he's make ng no difference in this season, anyway!
