Iowa vrs Rutgers

Nicely done Hawks...keep it rolling...nebby is a tough beat at home.

10 page game thread when Hawks play well and win big....42 page game thread and 100 new threads when they play poorly and have a bad loss. Its just weird.

Go Hawks.

How did this team beat WI even without their best player and Jackson? They make my eyes hurt.
They must have played out of their minds and Wiscy is toothless without Kaminsky. One thing that Fran has been EXTREMELY lucky is lack of injuries to players. Remarkable when you think of the crappy luck we have had thru the years with injuries to key players.

Not weird at all. That's the norm in all cases for all teams. Many are meltdown threads that are sometimes infected by trolls, which sometimes leads to a bunch of attacks against posters, as well as the coaches, team, players, etc.

I know Gliding. my sarcasm did not come through well In my post. It's all good.

Uhl was certainly playing reckless at times that was a good word to describe it. But he was aggressive. I'll take that over playing passive any day. He doesn't play scared to make a mistake anyway. I like his skill set and will be pretty darn good in a year or so. That game was just the perfect storm of Rutgers as bad as they are traveling to Iowa to play a frustrated team that had something to prove.

Can't really take more from it then Iowa did what they should have. Can Iowa bring it like that the rest of the way. If they run the table they'll be in great shape really to get a 7 seed or so. I want them off that 8-9 line if they can help it. Not to get too greedy and look ahead but I don't want them playing KY in the 2nd round too bad...

Yes, we have been fortunate this year. White not playing against Purdue is the only game this year where an injury may have contributed to a loss.

Uhl is going to be a good player......

Jok needs to play more (obviously)

I agree on Uhl. He has all the tools...just needs strength and experience. He should have more of both going into next season.

Jok...Last night all of the main guys played fewer minutes. Prior to last night Jok played at least 26 minutes in each of the previous 4 games. Jok has mentioned more than once that he has asthma. So his ceiling may be 25 to 30 minutes. But his shot is so silky smooth...with a nice rainbow to it. His defense improves on a game to game basis...may be an above average defender by next year. He's passing the ball well. He's putting the ball on the floor. I love his all around game and the upside is way up IMO.
