How is NW in the top 40? They have something like 4 season ticket holders, half of which are Hawkeye fans stuck in Chicago due to career motivations.

Part of the valuation is cash flow and revenues. They are part of the B1G gravy train.
 
There have been two variations of this list coming out list for at least a decade now. This one is based on total valuation, the other on yearly profit. If I remember right Iowa has been in the top 25 in total valuation for some time. I don’t know where it has ranked in yearly profit over the last several years.

Iowa is consistently in the 15 to 18 range in revenues, don't know about profit.
