i really think there are probably only two ways this goes down. iowa hangs on long enough to pull the upset, or wisky wins easily. i'm hoping for the former, but not going to hold my breath.

Wisconsin 31 - Iowa 13

unless something drastic changes (meaning some type of Iowa offense shows up for the 2nd half) i'm guessing the iowa D just is worn out by the 4th quarter. would really like to see the Hawks stick it to Gordon, but i'm thinking he'll probably have a big day on the outside. sure hope not.

I hate playing a team off their bye week. It worries me to be taking a team that is coming in with more time to prepare and heal up some bumps and bruises while we are coming off an extended game.

27-24 iowa wins. Crowd is enough to cause a few turn overs and gets our boys fired up. Good way to welcome a new coach and many players to kinnick.

Agree with this. Still haven't made up my mind on which way it's gonna go though. To be continued..................................
 
If history is any guide, hawks look ok on offense in 1nd half, off and on in 2nd half. Wisconsin does what they do and Iowa loses and we see it coming by begining of 4th quarter.

I remember in 2005, Iowa went to Madison to play a ranked Wisconsin team. Wisconsin was a heavy heavy favorite. Mitch King was a Freshman. The hawks absorbed a few blows then buckled down and beat 'em. I predicted then that the following week they would destroy Minny and I was right. They finished a crappy season strong and got to a bowl (Outback).

I still don't think we've seen it all from this Iowa team...they are still blooming..and we could see some great moments over the next month.
 
I think Wisky has been the most consistent. If our D is on the field too much that won't bode well for our chances. We have to be able to score points. Guessing Wisky 27 Iowa 17
 
If we can stop their run game and convert 3rd downs

Iowa 24 Wisconsin 17

If they run the ball on us and we cant sustain offense..

Wisconsin 27 Iowa 14
 
I predict we have the lead at half and by the beginning or middle of 4th qtr we will have lost it and score 1 TD or less in the 2nd half. Wisconsin makes beneficial adjustments at half, Iowa does not. Wisconsin 34, Iowa 24.
 
Gotta add that I hope that I am way off base with my prediction and that the coaching staff takes a backwards look at things and decides to change how they game plan and lead the kids in the 2nd half and we are the delivering the blows instead of defending against them and pull away in the 4th qtr for a hawk victory and big cele in IC.
 
Wisky has a good D. if we could only score 10 on jNW in regulation, i just don't see how Iowa can win this unless they totally contain the Badger running game.
 
Iowa says "POP" (the sound their head makes coming out of their butt) and also pulls out a victory.

I dont feel good about this game but cant get myself to pick against the Hawks. So 21-20 Hawks. D or ST will have to get us 7
