Iowa v Wisconsin B-Ball Predictions

The Badgers are averaging 75 ppg; Florida being the lowest score at 59, but that is fine with Wisconsin because both teams play defense.

Against St. Louis they scored 63; another defensive team and Wisconsin is not opposed to playing that way.

No other game has been under 69. This is a different Wisconsin team, they can play uptempo and not get blown out.

In the end though, given a few factors I don't think this is a high scoring game:

Wisconsin: 65
Iowa: 57
 


Iowa - 65
Wisconsin - 69

This will be a close back and forth game. If it's in Iowa City we win, but it's not so I'll give the edge to Wisconsin. This is obvious but... If they shoot north of 40% from 3 (season avg is 39.2%) I don't like our chances. Wisc lives (and will die) by the 3 this year.

I understand this is a diff. wiscy team than typical but I still don't think they want to play uptempo with the Hawks.

Shoot about the only team this year that I felt matched the pace we like to play was ISU.

But back to my original point, it wasn't that wiscy would get blown out in a shoot out, it was I can't see is losing by double digits if the score is in the 70s.
 


For the record if I have to put a number on it I say Wiscy holds serve at home by the slimmest of margins.

This I would like to see. It would truly be an exciting game and verify our rankings......

This is a really tough one to pick, despite the Badgers uptempo style now, we have been perfecting it for a few years and should prevail. I hate to beat a dead horse to death, but we must keep turnovers down and make our free throws. Wisconsin will make their free throws and get the calls for the most part......

Not true. Read my history of posts and you will mostly find honest, positive posts. I'm not trying to be negative..just posting what I think will happen. What's wrong with that? Win or lose I will still love the Hawks and continue to post here
 




There might be a little bit of hoping on my part but I'm predicting a 71-69 Iowa win which gets the teams focus back in place for a very good Big 10 run.
