Iowa v Virginia Tech in ACC/B1G Challenge

I just want to win every non-conference game, win 10 or more conference games totalling over 23 wins..,then they cannot keep iowa out of the tourny.

I wanted to be a major league baseball player too but it didn't happen. Neither is this ^

We will spank the Hokies like we did Wake Forest in the first half. Wake was fortunate to win in regulation with a desperate three from the parking lot in the last econd. They had a roster of four/five star players. That was one of Fran's best games coaching.....

I personally believe we will dance next season without fail.....

It all remains to be seen, and I will personally watch.....

Of course, having four teams in the preseason top ten will make things a bit difficult in the B1G next season. Playing MSU, Michigan and Ohio State once will help things. We probably will lose at Michigan and Ohio State, but have a chance of taking the Spartans down in IC. Lick and Fran both humiliated them at Carver. They are due again after the beatdown we suffered last season in Lansing.....

Revenge is best served boiling HOT.....

:D

Soooooooo we aren't going to win any more games than we did this past year? Cuzzzzzzz that'd pry put us on the bubble. Keep in mind we won 7 more this year than last.

I think we'll win moar games, but we're also playing a pillow soft schedule, and the BoneG is going to be much tougher next year than in was this year. The team is going to be very young and inexperienced next year, and I think we come up just short.

Road wins against ANY team...

I don't like it. Not from the standpoint that it isn't a winnable game, because it definitely is. The problem is it, in all likelihood, won't count as a quality win in the eyes of the selection committee and will most likely be a bad, and RPI-killing, loss if Iowa loses. Compound this with an already less than stellar Cancun Challenge field and the in-state opponents, it just seems like a bunch of can't-lose games for an Iowa team that will have as it stands now, eight of its scholarships used on freshman and sophomores. It would be better, IMO, to have a game away against a Top 25 team from the ACC; A game that Iowa wouldn't be expected to win but to serve as an SOS booster and at least give the chance for an impressive win early in the season.

from a power conference are not bad things. Should Iowa beat Va. Tech, it will benefit Iowa as one of the factors the committee uses is record on road/neutral court games. Everyone is moaning about the lack of top-notch foes in the Cancun Challenge and playing at Va Tech. You are missing the point. Should Iowa happen to win at Va Tech, at Drake, win at least 1-2 against ISU and UNI at home, and win a couple of games in Cancun, that will position Iowa just fine with a good B1G conference season.
