Iowa v. Rutgers

I don't think this Iowa team could even beat Rutgers at this point in time. I was watching Purdue and Michigan State lately and the question is how the heck did the Hawks beat them?

With 4 seniors leaving, How many wins with the Hawks have next year? I would say no more than 10 if there is a miracle in the wood works.

Also with the way the this team is playing I would only start Clemmons and play the rest of the freshmen because it is apparent that none of the other seniors and Jok cannot get the job done so lets see what they will have next year..

Why would you bench 4 starters who got you to 19-4 for they year and #3 ranking in the country. Yeah they are not hitting on all cylinders right now and one of the problems is now only one guy seems to be hot on a given night rather than the 2 or 3 guys having really good scoring games during any game.

These guys have played hard for 4 years and it turns out they are not all americans but very good players.

It's better to scrap this good season so we can get a jump start on next year. It will give us a better chance to get those 10 wins next year. You gotta have priorities.

^solid take.

I mean, we've had a rough 2 weeks so burn it all down.

That would send a good message to incoming recruits - choose iowa & even if you start 4 years and get to #3 ranking in the country, you'll benched if you lose a couple conference games?! We still have a chance at a double-by in Indy. Moron poster of the year.

"With 4 seniors leaving, How many wins with the Hawks have next year?"

All the wins will be WITH the Hawks next year. I'd say over 20. PG, more athletic, longer, WAY better rebounder, bad mismatches, more PPG....Jok will score more and move into more natural 2 position. Uhl better, Wagner better, Baer subbing in more natural 3 and 2 position. Not worried really, maybe a little down from last 2 years but on the upside for a downish year.

" it is apparent that none of the other seniors and Jok cannot get the job done"

You do realize in your infinite wisdom of the English language you just said they can get it done 100% of the time, correct? Since none of them cannot get it done?

I appreciate the confidence.
